Hello there!

I'm Dr. Mary Hinson. I am a relationship expert and owner of Live Well Counseling Solutions. I became a therapist to support couples and singles build healthy relationships and thrive! I am certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy which focuses on attachment work which is especially helpful when we feel emotionally disconnected from others. In my practice, I work with couples at every stage: dating and premarital, new and well-established couples, and separating or divorced. Feel to check out "Soothing the Threatened Brain" which shows how EFT can impact a couple’s ability to receive comfort from one another.

I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and wellness strategies so I can tailor our work to support your personal and relational goals. Considering our lives are made up of relationships, romantic or not, counseling can help address disruptions along the way so you can feel seen, heard, and valued.

My style of therapy is active and engaging, so I come with lots of energy! I’m passionate about creating and teaching practical tools to individuals and couples that struggle with connection and wellness, so I love presenting and training across the country in workshops, speaking engagements, webinars, and podcasts. You can review my research and work here: Presentations and Research I promise, you are in good hands!

When I’m not working with couples, I love to spend time with my village, listening to audiobooks and traveling! My favorite destination to date has been Panama- I absolutely love connecting with people and other cultures.
